Thieves steal 3 vehicles, damage 3 more at Roush Industries in Allen Park

Thieves cut through a fence to steal three high-end vehicles at a business in Allen Park, and shattered windows in three other vehicles.

The incident was reported to police at 9:17 a.m. Aug. 3 and occurred at Roush Industries, 333 Republic Drive.

A building supervisor told an officer that three vehicles were stolen and three others were damaged after three thieves broke into the lot earlier that morning. Surveillance footage shows three unknown people in the lot between 4 and 4:30 a.m. One of the perpetrators was wearing a reflective vest.

According to police, the thieves broke in by destroying a section of aluminum fence. They shattered driver-side windows of two Ford Mustang GT 500s, one a 2020 and the other a 2022 model year; as well a rear window of a 2018 Chrysler 300.

“It is unknown if any items were stolen from those vehicles or if they were unsuccessful motor vehicle theft attempts,” the police report states. “Surveillance footage shows the three listed vehicles were driven out of the lot after the gate chain was cut.”

The three stolen vehicles are listed as a silver 2020 Ford Mustang GT 500, a black Dodge Challenger Hellcat and a black 2020 Ford Explorer.

The building supervisor told police that all three of the stolen vehicles were taken without keys.
